Even the good stars can fall from grace and falter

Here ya go Aaron

Over on Facebook Aaron has written on my Wall. What is Facebook for those who live under Internet rocks? It is the latest darling of the social network space. Or maybe it’s not, maybe it’s yesterday’s news, how would I know, I am old and so will no doubt be six months behind the curve with the curve sagging and getting more wrinkled and slow each passing day. Anyway… Facebook is this nearly-useless site that you have your friends listed on and you can chat (sort of like IM and email but less easy to use). A "wall" is this place for people to post clever little messages. The thought here is that what you really want in life is a place for someone to scrawl across your site.

And today Aaron posted "dude, update your blog". So here it is.

Of course right after writing this I think "hey, maybe he didn’t mean my blog he meant my exercise weblog which is completely different and hasn’t had a major refresh or feature added in two years now." And of course he is completely right, the exerblog is in dire need of a makeover. But I won’t get to it since I am spending some spare time on l’Antica Vetreria.

I am also way, way overdue in an update about our Swiss adventure and need to relate the excitement around Swiss light fixtures (or "bare wires" as we call them in the US), the shock of returning from Italy (hey, everything is free) to Switzerland (wow, 5.60 for a double espresso), adventures in finding our new post office (which we cannot, but we found an ice-skating rink and a petting zoo during our quest), and finally updating our last trip before we take our next trip (last week in Italy, this week home, next week in Paris).
