I think Les Grands Montets is my favorite ski hill anywhere.

Hadn't posted for a few days. This is lunch mid-mountain on a bluebird day.

Terrain here is so much more hardcore than Saas Fee. Unlike most of Europe Les Grands Montets doesn't do much grooming. Which is great! The one complaint I have with euro-resorts is they over-groom. Way too much emphasis on schussing gracefully down the piste, not enough bumps and deep snow.

Well not here!

And to make it nicer the mid-mountain restaurant (truly mediocre) had pitchers of water laid out.
