I blame myself really. Years ago I should have spent the time really learning CSS. But I didn't. So now when I want something simple, something really simple like changing the font and layout of my blog, it's a long process of trial and error. I managed to change the font and get the content section wider. I have not as yet figured out how to make the right side shift over some.
I found that WordPress does allow for posting via email. I don't have that enabled as yet, but I will figure that out shortly. I also managed to connect to the PHP stuff via VS 2005 and incorporated all of this into my ASP.NET site. I don't yet understand how to merge the two. I want to do that because I want to use all of my ASP.NET code for posting exercise info but I like the blog features of WordPress. If anyone happens to find online resources for this, let me know.
Next up will be including ads. I am having trouble finding a good ad provider. Kanoodle is the current site provider but right now I am not thrilled with the relevance of the ads. At some point this year Microsoft is supposed to come out with AdCenter but that has been rumored for a long time now.
This is my first post with WordPress installed on bricin.net. I don't, as yet, know if this will work out. So far it's easier than DotNetNuke. The downside of course is this is all based on PHP and java script. My knowledge there is terribly limited. I will need to figure out how to get the exercise site pumping data into this system. Weird.
